CEC provides technical support to prepare for CEC program recognition in several ways:
Individualized Technical Tele-Support
A CEC consultant sets up a schedule to work with the faculty by conference call to find the best approach for your situation.
Individualized Technical Support
A CEC consultant comes to your campus and works with your faculty, spending as much time as needed to help analyze your programs to find the best approach for your situation.

- Cost: $1,800 per day plus consultant travel expenses.

Specially Scheduled Group Technical Support
Specially scheduled group technical support is usually sponsored by a state TED, AACTE, or the State Education Agency. A CEC representative will provide a group workshop individualized for the unique needs of the group.

- Cost: $350 per individual for a minimum of 10 individuals.

Pre-Convention Workshops
Twice a year, at the CEC Convention and the CEC TED Conference CEC conducts full-day workshops for faculty developing program reports. The CEC Recognition Report Developer Workshop is designed to assist individuals developing Preparation Program Recognition Reports.
Participants learn the components of a performance-based teacher preparation program including:
- Understanding the CEC program recognition report process and cycle,
- Discussing the essential elements of a program report.
- Developing program performance-based assessments
- Aligning program assessments with major elements of the CEC Content Standards
- Collecting and analyzing program data on their candidates
- Using data to analyze current program strengths and weaknesses
- Presenting aggregated program data
- Developing the program report
- Identifying exemplars of program recognition report components, and tips for high quality program recognition reports
- Identifying resources for further support in developing a program report.
Participants have the opportunity to interact with colleagues and the consultant. and .8 CEC continuing education units.

- Cost: $350 for CEC members $450 for non-members
