CEC has responded to proposed changes of IDEA put forth by the U.S.
Department of Education in the following areas: consent, due process
hearings, monitoring, distribution of funds to charter schools, and
employment of individuals with disabilities.

Commemorates ADA Anniversary
CEC staff and 2008 Yes I Can! award winner Tyler Greene went to Capitol
Hill to celebrate the 18th anniversary of the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA). Tyler was a featured speaker at the event.

Celebrates Legislative Victory
President Bush has signed into law legislation extending moratoria on
six Medicaid regulations that would have cut or eliminated
reimbursements for many key services for children with disabilities. CEC
was instrumental in pushing this measure through Congress and the
Administration.
