Accessibility at the CEC Convention & Expo
All sessions, business meetings, and social events will take place at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center. All CEC events are ADA-accessible. Please let us know your needs.
Transportation from the Airport
Shuttle Service
Gaylord Opryland Transportation Services is our shuttle service of choice. CEC attendees can save by using the preferred transportation. Round-trip tickets are $25; one-way tickets are $15.
Book your reservation now via fax or e-mail. All reservations will be acknowledged by an e-mail receipt. All shuttles are powerchair/wheelchair/scooter lift-accessible.

Taxi Service
Taxi fare to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center is a flat $25 rate each way. To make arrangements for an accessible cab, visit the airport's Web site and click on Ground Transportation/Taxis. Drive time is approximately 20 minutes.
Accessibility Onsite
Scooters/Powerchairs
Scooters and powerchairs will be available at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and are free of charge. Please call Richard Coe at 615-458-2615 to make your reservation and get pick-up details. Be sure to mention that you are attending the CEC Convention & Expo.
Interpreter Services
Sign language interpreters will be provided at the General Session and Representative Assembly. If you require additional services, please indicate this by checking the appropriate box on the Registration Form and by contacting Jane Uffelman at janeu@cec.sped.org. Sign language interpreting requests MUST be made no later than March 2, 2010, in order to insure availability of services. (After we receive your request, we will work with you to build your convention schedule by utilizing the free online session scheduler.)
Alternative Formats
The convention program will be made available in large print, Braille, and thumb-drive formats. Requests must be received by CEC no later than March 2, 2010, to ensure that we have time to arrange for an adequate supply of adapted materials. Please make your requests in advance to Jane Uffelman at janeu@cec.sped.org. The adapted programs will be available for pick-up onsite at the Accessibility Counter.
