Proposed Changes to NCLB Impact Students with Disabilities, Gifts and Talents

The U.S. Department of Education has released proposed regulations for NCLB in a variety of areas that impact students with exceptionalities including: assessment, accountability, high school graduation rate, supplemental educational services; and will be hosting four regional meetings from May 14-May 22 to gain feedback.  CEC has issued a formal response to the U.S. Department of Education and has provided a summary and talking points of selected provisions.
