Members of Congress Voice Support for Javits Program

Over 50 members of the House of Representatives and 28 Senators rejected the Administration’s attempt to eliminate funding for the Javits program for students with gifts and talents by requesting additional funding for the program as Congress embarks on its annual funding process.  Led by Senators Grassley (IA), Dodd (CT) and Representatives Gallegly (CA) and Matheson (UT), Congressional supporters signed a letter in support of restoring funding to the Javits program at its 2005 level.
