Teaching and Learning Center

Welcome to CEC’s Teaching and Learning Center. The Teaching and Learning Center is a comprehensive resource for special educators and others who work with children and youth with disabilities and/or gifts and talents. It includes information about the different exceptionality areas; instructional strategies; professional practice topics such as assessment, diversity, and behavior management; strategies for teaching subject area content; evidence-based practices, and current special education topics. It also contains information on professional roles, professional standards, accreditation and licensure, and financial aid.

In addition to general information, the Teaching and Learning Center has many other aids to assist educators to provide the best of special education services, such as resources, CEC policies, and issues specific to topic areas.

While some sections of the Teaching and Learning are restricted to members, others are available to all visitors to the CEC Web site. Please use the navigation bar on the left to access the Teaching and Learning Center and learn more about the topics that interest you.
