From the Membership section, click on "Join Now!" from any page to go directly to the online application. Or, click on "New CEC Member" to go to the New CEC Member home page for information about CEC, and use one of the links on that page to access the online application.
You can pay by VISA, MasterCard, or Discover.
- How do I renew my CEC membership online?
From any page in the CEC membership section, click on "Renew Now" to go to the Current CEC Member Information page. Here you will find information about CEC Member benefits and a link to "Renew Using our Online Application." To access your record, you'll need your login and password.

- I prefer not to join/renew online. What other ways can I join/renew?
Call CEC toll free at (888) 232-7733, TTY (866) 915-5000. Or, download the application from the "New CEC Member" section and fax your completed application to CEC at (703) 264-9494, or mail your completed application and payment to CEC, PO Box 79026, Baltimore, MD 21279-0026. If you're a renewing member, call, or fax or mail your renewal notice. Next time, when you' re feeling more confident, give it a try online. We've tried to make it as easy as possible, and have built in stringent security measures to protect the information you provide.
- What type of security do you have for online transactions?
The membership forms are set up to be processed with 124-bit security. This means that any personal or credit card information you submit will be encrypted for security purposes.

- I don't live in the United States or Canada. Can I join or renew online?
Yes! We accept VISA, MasterCard, and Discover. All transactions are in U.S. dollars.
- How do I know what type of membership to get?
Both the New CEC Member and Current CEC Member sections have links to "Type of Membership," which describes the membership types and their benefits.
- How do I upgrade my membership to Premier level?
Log into your membership record, and change your Membership Type to Premier. It will recalculate your dues total. Your Premier membership will start when your new membership term begins.
- I've graduated and need to change my membership type from Student to Professional. How do I do that?
Congratulations! Log into your membership record, and change your Membership Type to Professional. It will recalculate your dues total. Your Professional membership will start when your new membership term begins. If you have also moved, be sure to change your address as well.

- The membership form lists "divisions." How do I know which one(s) to join?
Access descriptions of the divisions and their membership benefits by clicking on "Professional Divisions" from the New CEC Member or Current CEC Member home pages.
- How do I add divisions to my membership?
CEC members can join one or more divisions as they wish. Log into your membership record, select the division(s) you wish to join, and make your payment. If you have less than 3 months remaining on your membership, the system will prompt you to renew your CEC membership as well, and the division(s) will start when your new membership term begins.
- I lost my membership number. How can I find out what it is?
