Expo

Highlights for Students
Convention Orientation for Students: Wednesday, April
18, 2007, 3:30-4:30 pm. Learn how to get the most out of your convention
experience. Insider information on the recruiters at the Career Center,
the exhibitors at the Expo, the hottest sessions, and more! Door prizes,
too!
Student Awards: Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 5:00-6:30
pm. The winners of the Susan Phillips Gorin Award and Outstanding
Student Member Award will be recognized as part of the Opening General
Session. Our other Student Award and Scholarship recipients will be
recognized at the Student Forum on Thursday, April 19, 2007, 1:00-4:00
pm.
CEC’s Career Center: Open during exhibit
hours. Bring your interview suit and plenty of resumes because this is
the place to find a job! School districts from across the United States
will be represented.
Student Forum: Thursday, April 19, 2007, 1:00-4:00
pm. The Forum includes posters, featured presentations, and Q&A
sessions addressing issues of interest to and affecting students. Door
prizes, too!
Student Scholarship Fundraiser: Thursday, April 19,
2007, 8:00-11:30 p.m. Eat, dance, party, and enjoy the view as we cruise
on the beautiful Ohio River on the
historic Steamboat Belle of Louisville. The CCBD Foundation and
CEC’s Student Committee are co-sponsoring this event to raise
money for their scholarship funds. Your ticket includes a live band,
dinner buffet, beverage, and an entertaining 3-hour cruise. Boarding
begins at 8:00 pm; the boat leaves the dock at 8:30 and returns at
11:30. Tickets are $45 for students, $60 for professionals. Tickets are
limited, so register
now to get yours! Sorry, no refunds for this event.
The Student Spot: THE place to get information on
all events for students plus things to see and do in Louisville. Open
during registration hours in the Convention Center.
Student Chapter Faculty Advisors' Roundtable:
Saturday, April 21, 2007, 9:00-10:30 a.m. It’s back! Just for
Student Chapter Faculty Advisors, this roundtable session provides
the opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade for student membership
recruitment, student chapter involvement, successful chapter operation,
transitioning graduating students to Professional membership, and more!
