CEC’s 2009 Annual Convention & Expo
April 1-4, 2009 – Seattle, Washington
Highlights for Students

Registration opens Oct. 15, 2008!

Note: Details about the Student events will be posted as soon as they are finalized.

Convention Orientation for Students: Learn how to get the most out of your convention experience. Offers insider information on the recruiters at the Career Center, the exhibitors at the Expo, the hottest sessions, and more. Door prizes, too!

Student Awards: The winners of the Susan Phillips Gorin Award and Outstanding Student Member Awards will be recognized as part of the Opening General Session on Wednesday, April 1. This event will feature actress Marlee Matlin as the Keynote Speaker. Our other Student Award and Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the Student Forum on Thursday, April 2.

Student Forum: The Forum on Thursday afternoon includes posters and feature presentations addressing issues of interest to and affecting students. Learn about all the opportunities available to you in CEC! Get the scoop on all CEC is doing to support the transition of Student members to Professional membership. Door prizes, too!

Student Scholarship Fundraiser: Planning is under way for this event on Thursday evening. Be sure to sign up for this always-popular event when you pre-register! Tickets are limited.

CEC’s Career Center: Bring your interview suit and plenty of resumes because this is the place to find a job! School districts from across the United States will be represented.

Visit the Expo: More than 300 exhibitors! From Pre-K to graduate-level materials and everything in between, the Expo will meet your needs.

The Student Spot: THE place to get information on all events for students, plus things to see and do in Seattle.
